Everyone’s had Combos on a road trip (unless you can’t eat cheese, sorry for you). But, not many people know right away what Combos are. It’s nostalgic at it’s core as the road trip snack and we didn’t shy away from that.

Treasures From The Vault

In 2019 we pitched a holiday giveaway to the Combos because we truly felt like it. They asked well what are we going to give away? Combos?

Turns out we hit the nostalgic jackpot and found old Combos swag on Ebay. And that’s what we gave away.

For under $50 we bought the Combos swag and shot a series of QVC style videos. Then posted them all on social. Winners were selected and actually sent the swag. The winner if the hat also was sent the head.

A Pandemic Road Trip

America’s most beloved road trip snack was feeling cabin fever (truthfully the creative team was like what should we do?). So we imagined what a road trip for Combos would be like in 2020.

Since we couldn’t take us or our Combos anywhere we just made it look like we went to Niagara Falls, Joshua Tree, and Route 66 with some very sophisticated and high tech special effects.
